A very simple yet very practicle application of two of the oldest materials Oak and slate.

 

Designed primarily, as a reminder board to hang in the kitchen, but with it's rustic charm could find a home anywhere.

 

The slate board is encased in a solid Oak frame.  The external edges are rounded and the internal edges bevelled to 45 degrees.  The frame is sanded to give a smooth and tactile finish.

 

Two holes are drilled through the frame, allowing for yet another natural material string.  This is passed through the holes and knotted at each end to form the hanger.
