A chunky picture frame with a difference.  This frame is produced from a single piece of solid Oak, giving a uniform and continuous grain pattern.

 

The face of the piece is purposely very broad giving a suitable 'frame' to any object it is holding.

 

The internal edges of the frame are bevelled to 45 degrees drawing the viewers eyes into the subject.  The external edges have a crisp sharp finish.

 

The frame is recessed at the rear to accomodate the clear glass, the subject (photo, drawing, cross stitch etc.) and a hardboard backing.  All of which are held in place by brass retaining clips and screws.
