An ideal addition to any shelf, dresser or any other flat surface.  These Oak book-ends incorporate that little extra, a photograph housing.

 

Made using three separate solid Oak pieces.  The base and book-end face have a mitred joint, with the front face being glued and dowelled to the frame.  The base is covered with felt to ensure protection of surfaces.

 

The front face apperture is fitted with a glass screen.  The glass, photograph and backing board are firmly held in the rear recess of the front face by solid brass turnbuttons and screws.

 

The Oak is finely sanded, making all edges and faces smooth to the touch.
